Christmas Sermon Excerpt – December 24, 1967
Typed Version:
If we are to have peace on earth, our loyalties must become ecumenical rather than sectional. Our loyalties must transcend our race, our tribe, our class, and our nation; and this means we must develop a world perspective.
Student Friendly Version:
If we are to have peace on earth, our deep feelings of dedication and love must become focused worldwide instead of divided into parts. Our deep feelings of dedication and love must go farther than our race, our tribe, our educational level, our wealth, our popularity, and our nation; and this means we must create a world view for ourselves and our country.
